I have been a personal trainer for over 8 years. In that time I have worked with hundreds of clients, all of whom have reached their goals and realised their potential.
I specialise in functional weight training and am always keen to learn new techniques which make up the unique fitness programmes I devise for each client.
My dedicated areas of knowledge include strength training, sports conditioning and the increasingly popular kettlebell. I am also trained in the use of the Bulgarian Bag which is a relatively new concept in the UK.
My sporting interest is American Football. I formerly played for the Birmingham Bulls and Merseyside Nighthawks along with the Great Britain reserves. My success in this area proves that professional training and personal commitment pay off.
My philosophy of working hard and staying positive in order to gain optimum results, works.
I am always happy to talk to you and offer advice. It’s free, so you have everything to gain and nothing to lose. Please call me to discuss your goals.

Hi my name is Charlie Hughes, Having played highly competitive football, Cricket and Rugby from a very young age I have always been into fitness. As the years progressed and I learned more and more about my body, injuries, and the impact of nutrition on your personal well-being.
I obtained my Personal Training Qualification and threw myself straight in the deep end practising my knowledge, previous skills, and belief that training should be done from the 'inside, out' with a completely Dynamic approach. During my sessions I believe that my clients should train 3D and After 4 years down the line in this industry I have been fortunate enough to work with and train every aspect of client. I like to see myself as a trainer that can provide you with any area of training you desire with the added bonus of the fact that you’ll enjoy it!
I have picked up many sport specific Qualifications and as your fitness and motivation improves so will our sessions together. This will help you to achieve your weight loss, general fitness and overall goals, whatever they may be. Making sure you have a variety of exercises and updated programs is necessary, I hope to provide you with the tools and knowledge in order for you to train just as effectively outside of our time together.

I focus on weight loss, weight training & body conditioning to help people change their lives one day at a time, with realistic exercise programmes. Every programme is tailored to your individual needs. I know that 'one-size fits all' programme is a thing of the past. I wholeheartedly believe in exercise for men and women of all ages, to lose weight, support weight control, and to increase longevity by keeping our hearts strong, and our bodies strong and flexible. Exercise also gives you more energy, alleviates depression, reduces stress and helps you sleep soundly.
I am currently studying Human Nutrition at university and I have a Diploma in Non-Medical Nutritional Advice. I am passionate about healthy weight management through permanent, positive lifestyle changes. No fad diets. I am committed to your goals 100% and I will help you achieve them with a healthy balanced approach to your diet, reducing intakes of saturated fat, increasing levels of fibre and sensible portion control. Supporting you to adapt a healthy path, that is achievable and individual to your lifestyle.
Increasingly there is awareness of how regular exercise and a healthy diet can help control medical conditions including diabetes, cardiovascular diseases including high blood pressure and high cholesterol. There is also evidence to support a healthy lifestyle with the prevention of many forms of cancer. Being physically active can be a positive step during and after cancer treatment, it can help reduce symptoms and manage side effects. Individual programmes can start slowly and gradually build up, strengthening your muscles and bones to improve muscle strength and flexibility. The ACSM (American College of Sports and Medicine) are recently quoted as saying that physical activity is important and safe during and after cancer treatment. I can help you with rehabilitation and recovery following illness.
I am a qualified running coach with UK Athletics and have just completed Liverpool Marathon as a pace leader. So if you want to get started with a running programme, want support with your first 5k, 10k, half marathon, or your goal is to run a marathon, I can help to support you every step of the way with sport specific exercises, psychological and nutritional advice. Or maybe you just want support with your current running technique?
I support a mind and body approach and through personal training and lifestyle coaching will help you on the journey to a healthier lifestyle. “The journey of a 1000 miles starts with a single step” so whatever your reason for embarking on a healthier lifestyle, be it weight loss, strengthening and toning, flexibility or for health reasons, call today and take the first step to improving your life.
